Dick Jauron is out as Bills head coach. Dwayne Bowe has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy. Guess we won’t be seeing either of these two any time soon.

Wally Backman a popular second baseman with the Mets back in the 1980’s will be back in uniform. He was announced as the new manager of the Mets single A affiliate team, the Cyclones in Brooklyn yesterday. Backman who was hired by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2004 but was released only 5 days later due to legal and financial issues, has been coaching in independent leagues since the controversy.
Stephon Marbury part 2?
The crossover, the quickness, the MVP season and one trip to the NBA finals. Allen Iverson sans the corn rows will be an unrestricted free agent tomorrow after being waived by the Memphis Grizzlies. Iverson 34, signed a year deal with Memphis this past summer but shortly after arriving stated his displeasure with his role coming off the bench. He left the team due to personal matters on November 7th which the team granted, however yesterday the Grizzlies announced that Allen’s one year contract was being terminated due to the matters that needed his full attention off the court. It was said that both parties agreed to this resolution and parted amicably.
A day after the Jets lost a crippling game to the Jaguars, head coach Rex Ryan gathered his team for the traditional Monday morning meeting. Except, this meeting was different. According to several players, Rex delivered an impassioned speech to his players that was so emotionally charged it brought him to tears. Plenty of players were left stunned, and many were quoted as saying it made them want to run right out of the auditorium and straight on a plane to Foxborough for Sunday’s game against the Patriots.
