Gotta love it when Gallo shows a little athleticism.  Now if we can only get him to sit on the bench like a healthy player instead of laying on the floor a la Larry Legend.

Giants resuscitated, Jets remain on life support

November 22, 2009

Eli Manning had a career day against the Falcons

Despite another meltdown by the shaky Giant defense, Lawrence Tynes kicked the G-men to a 34-31 victory, keeping the Giants in good position for a playoff spot.  The giants snapped their four-game losing streak, and Eli Manning threw for a career-high 384 yards.  Eli added three touchdown passes, including two to Kevin Boss.  The Falcons (5-5) have lost four of five after a 4-1 start.  With the win, the Giants became the first home team to win in the series since New York beat Atlanta in 1979. The visiting teams had won 12 straight in the series, and the Falcons gave it a good shot at making it 13 in a row.

Singing the Blues; Islanders flat against St. Louis

November 22, 2009

Blues goalie Chris Mason was fantastic

What started off as a nice road-trip has taken a turn for the worse.  The Islanders were just out played last night against the Blues, and Rolosson was shaky in net for really the first time all season.  It was also the first time the Isles dropped two consecutive games in regulation since November 4-6.

The Islanders got a goal from Josh Bailey and that was it for the offense.   Bailey’s wrister from the top of the right circle got past a screened Mason 5:10 into the game. It was Bailey’s fifth of the season and second in two nights.
