Lundqvist Phenomenal Against Ottawa-Rangers win in shootout

November 14, 2009

4

The Rangers were able to escape numerous scoring chances on the road against the Senators and sneaked out of Ottawa with a 2-1 shootout victory.

It was a complete team effort to even push the game to a shootout as the Rangers were called for a penalty in OT.  Kotalik was called for tripping with 1:23 left  giving the Senators a 4-3 man advantage.  Ottawa forced the pressure with shot after shot, but each time Callahan and Staal showed complete disregard for their bodies, throwing themselves in front of the blazing shots from Spezza and Lee.

Now that’s thinking with your dipstick!

November 14, 2009

After posting on Scott  Boras’ pitch to get Yankee OF Johnny Damon a four-year deal, I posted a picture of Damon, Boras and his wife, Michelle, at Damon’s Yankee signing press conference four years ago. At that point, I realized how smokin’ hot Damon’ wife is, and how much I’d like to dunk in that hiney.

So that made me think: Who are the hottest baseball wives in the game today?

I’m compiling a Top 10 list right now, so each day, I’ll post a new hot baseball wife until we reach No.1.

No. 10 – Diana Roberts, wife of Orioles 2B Brian Roberts. This a pic from her layout in FHM Magazine.

Okposo’s Overtime Goal Lifts Islanders

November 14, 2009

I guess Kyle Okposo is feeling better, huh?

Okposo in his first game after sitting out with what was thought to be swine flu scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Islanders a 4-3 win, and extend the Hurricanes winless streak to 14.  With 15 seconds remaining in OT, Okposo intercepted a pass near the blue line and snapped one past Manny Legace from the left circle to snatch the second point in what was a thrilling game.

St. John’s Holds on, Defeats LIU

November 14, 2009

DJ Kennedy led the Storm with 16 points

The game started off just as Coach Norm Roberts and Johnnies fans had hoped.  St. John’s dominated the Panthers, both inside and outside, for the first 23 minutes building a 19 point lead with 17 minutes to go in the 2nd half.  But the Johnnies would struggle the rest of the way, holding on for an 83-70 win at Carnesecca Arena.

Head Coach Norm Roberts was happy to get a win, but was not pleased after the game.

Effort-Less Knicks Lose to Warriors

Warriors Knicks Basketball

Lottery Draft here we come... you're welcome Utah

Nate Robinson returned to the Knick lineup last night after missing 6  games with a sprained ankle but he couldnt help turn things around, as the Knicks fell to the Warriors 121-107 at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are now off to their worst 10 game start in franchise history and own a dismal 1-9 record.

“I just thought our lack of fight was the most disappointing thing,” Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni said after the game. “It’s bad, there’s no doubt about it. We’ve got three days off, we’ll practice hard and we’ll try to figure out something better and see who wants to come forward.”
