TR Luxury team and Dahntay Jones swagged out on the red carpet
Before Iman Shumpert and Josh Harrelson were introduced to the orange and blue faithful at the Rock (o_O) for the 2011 NBA Draft, our friends at TR Luxury Group and Samsung came together to host a viewing party for the ages. Located at the Samsung Experience in Columbus Circle, you had top NBA stars, former draft picks and industry elites all under one roof.
The event was co-hosted by Dahntay Jones of the Indiana Pacers and the Dahntay Jones Foundation. Founded in 2005, the foundation helps inner city youth further their education and alleviate stresses associated with peer pressure, drugs, violence and attending and graduating college with its scholarship and grant program.
All in all it was another star studded TR Luxury Group affair. But it was only the appetizer because the after party was even better. Stay tuned!
The Mets are all of a sudden road warriors, the Yankees continue to dominate at home, Darrelle Revis may not be who we thought he was, and the Nets have a new coach. Oh yea, and apparently Lebron James is bigger than New York City. Yuck….
Madison Square Garden, the world’s most famous arena, will be receiving some much-needed renovations in the upcoming months. The home of the New York Knicks, Rangers, and St. John’s basketball will go through many phases of improving what is already the mecca of sports across the country. Amongst the highlighted features will be two “Sky Bridges” that will hang five stories above the playing surface. Read the rest of this entry ?
Three games. Three blown leads. The Yankees bullpen is in trouble.
I don’t know what to think of the last three games — two against Boston, one versus Minnesota — but I know one thing for sure. Mariano will be OK. I can’t say the same thing about Joba Chamberlain. Read the rest of this entry ?
Robinson Cano has been one of the few bright spots for the Yankees this year
The Yankees have hit their first losing skid of the season, losing four of their last five games, the last being a humiliating loss to the Baltimore Orioles, 5-4.
So with that, I’d like to shed some light on some of the good things I’ve seen over the past 19 games, some of the bad, and definitely, the ugly parts of this 2010 Yankees season. Read the rest of this entry ?
Vanglorious and TONY Sports would like to apologize ahead of time to any reader insulted by this post. I run the risk of upsetting some people out there who may have some of my “overrated” players cemented in their rosters. However, debating player value is what makes this hobby as fun and interesting as it is. If you disagree feel free to voice your justifications for your player and if you agree, of course, feel free to say so as well.
Jay-Z, a multi-platinum rapper and devoted Yankees fan, and his business partner filed a lawsuit on Thursday against the hated Boston Red Sox “star” David Ortiz. The recording artist claims that “Big Papi” bit off the 40/40 brand by naming his own nightclub in the Dominican Republic “Forty-Forty.” Read the rest of this entry ?
On Tuesday, Twins second baseman Orlando Hudson (the player I begged the Mets to sign) recited his best Torii Hunter impression, implying in an interview with Yahoo Sports that MLB teams turn their back on ageing black free-agent players. Hudson used Jermaine Dye as an example, who has still not signed with a team despite hitting 27 homers last season. Read the rest of this entry ?
