Knicks Bucks Basketball

The season has only just Begun

Knicks- 87 Bucks- 102

The Bucks are the only team in the NBA to hold all of their opponents under 100 points so far this year. That didnt change last night as the inept Knickerbockers visited town. The Knicks really didn’t change last night either, it looked like they were playing Lebron all over again as the Bucks jumped to a 40-22 lead after the 1st quarter. They were up by as much as 36 in the 3rd.

Andrew Bogut led the Bucks with 22 points and 8 rebounds, Jodie Meeks a 2nd round draft pick whose career high was 9 points prior to last night dropped 19. Brandon Jennings who was selected 10th overall this past NBA draft and was upset he didn’t get picked by the Knicks poured in 17 points 4 rebounds and 3 assists starting at the point guard position. The Knicks used their 6th pick on rookie Jordan hill who had 6 points in limited action.

The Bucks who are off to a 3-2 start hit easy open jump shots and attacked the paint like a lion hunting a gazelle. The Knicks defense was nowhere to be found last night and the offense couldn’t hit anything let alone a basket. If there was a panic button to be pushed I think now is the time. Chris Duhon who was benched for the rest of the game with 2:23 remaining in the 3rd quarter was asked if there was something wrong with the team. “I don’t know,” he said. “We just got to continue to figure it out. It’s just one of those things where we’re struggling in many ways. The only way you can get out of it is just fighting through it.”

David Lee finished the game with 18 points and 7 rebounds as the Knicks fell to 1-6 for the season. Rookie Toney Douglas contributed 16 points off the bench, Gallinari dropped 15 and Larry Hughes 14 points. Al Harrington the Knicks leading scorer at 22.3 shot 1 for 7 and finished with just 5 points.

The Knicks resume play tomorrow night at the Garden versus the Jazz.

Melting Pot

Welcome to the melting pot

Friday was truly a magical scene regardless if we did not get close enough to view the actual parade.  Where else in the world can millions of people from all walks of life come together in celebration?

New York.

It was a time when race, origin, religion, and ethnicity got kicked to the curb and millions of New Yorker’s and Yankee fans from around the world celebrated a well deserved and long-awaited World Series Championship.

Welcome to the melting pot, home to the 2009 World Series Champion New York Yankees.  Cheers.

By the way, here in New York, WE SMOKE PHILLIES!

I dont get it, we smoke Phillies?? ohhhh,, YEA WE DO!
