Madison Square Garden, the world’s most famous arena, will be receiving some much-needed renovations in the upcoming months.  The home of the New York Knicks, Rangers, and St. John’s basketball will go through many phases of improving what is already the mecca of sports across the country.  Amongst the highlighted features will be two “Sky Bridges” that will hang five stories above the playing surface. NBA Draft Lottery is a joke

May 19, 2010

Last night the Washington Wizards earned the right to draft John Wall first overall via the Draft Lottery.  The Philadelphia 76’ers were the first runners-up and the lowly New Jersey Nets came in third.  Despite losing 70 games in embarrassing fashion, the Brooklyn-bound franchise can’t even reap the benefits of being the doormat of the NBA last season.  Read the rest of this entry ?

Luck of the Irish, Garnett sinks Knicks

November 22, 2009

Good, but not good enough

NEW YORK — Kevin Garnett made a jumper to beat the overtime buzzer, giving the Boston Celtics a 107-105 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday.

Paul Pierce scored a season-high 33 points, and had all of Boston’s points in overtime until the final shot. Two Knicks followed Pierce on the final play, leaving Garnett wide open from the top of the key for his 19-footer.Garnett and Ray Allen had miserable shooting nights, but Rajon Rondo finished with 14 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds as Boston won for the second time in five games.

Danilo Gallinari leads the league in 3 point attempts

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — No matter how bleak things look for the Knicks, they can take comfort knowing worse basketball is being played 10 miles away.

And if the Nets don’t win soon, they could be the worst ever to start an NBA season.Al Harrington and Danilo Gallinari each scored 17 points, and New York dropped New Jersey to 0-13 with a 98-91 victory Saturday.
