
Lance Dances with NBA
April 7, 2010Former Lincoln high school star and Coney Island product Lance Stephenson, will follow in the footsteps of Stephon Marbury and forgo his last thee years at Cincinnati to enter the NBA.
Stephenson who was recently named the Big East rookie of the year, averaged 12.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assist in the NIT for head coach Mick Cronin. Just last month Lance told the Daily News that he would be “definitely” returning for another year at Cincinnati, has yet to make an official statement. However, Cincy’s website gobearcats.com announced today that he would be leaving.
The 6’6 guard led the Lincoln Railsplitters to four consecutive state championships and was named Mr. Basketball of New York in 2009. He is also New York state’s high school all-time leading scorer.
HA…what a bad move by Lance. He MIGHT be a late first round pick at best but Im thinkin mid 2nd-round.
