Will’s Week 14 NFL Picks

December 11, 2009

in the league where they play….for pay.  (que music)

10 teams, 5 games, 5 lines, 5 picks:  Bet at your own risk!!!

Last week: 2-3

Season: 11-11 (you have a 50-50 shot!)

Picks after the jump!

Jets @ Buccaneers:

What am I doing!?   The same-ole Jets would definitely lose this game, but I don’t consider this team part of that mantra.  Even with Clemens at QB, the Jets should win this game and will win this game.  The Bucs are 31st against the run and guess what?  The Jets lead the NFL in rushing.  I don’t see how Josh Freeman and company can do anything on offense either, so I think Gang Green wins comfortably.

Take the Jets, (-3)

Eagles @ Giants:

I understand the G-Men had a nice victory over the Cowboys last week, but their defense still looked terrible and if it wasn’t for two big offensive plays they would have lost.  The Iggles are flying high and are better coached and have much more toughness than the Cowgirls.   The Giants will show me a lot if they win this game, but I just don’t see it happening.

Take Philadelphia, (+1)

Bengals @ Vikings:

Favre resorted back to his old self Sunday night against the Cardinals, and the Bengals lead the league in scoring defense (15.6 ppg.)  Furthermore, Cincy is 6-0 ATS as an underdog.  I really like the Bengals to win outright, and I’m getting 6.5 points.  How could I not take Cincy???

Take Cincinnati, (+6.5)

Cardinals @ 49ers:

Arizona can wrap up the division with a win, and they looked pretty damn impressive against the Vikings.  The Cardinals have been a great road team this season and San Fran might have seen their playoff chances die last week.  Too much Warner, Fitzgerald, and Boldin here.

Take the Cards, (-3)

Dolphins @ Jaguars:

Both these teams are mediocre and I am shocked they are still in the Wild-Card hunt.  The ‘fins have actually played better since losing Ronnie Brown.  The Jaguars are tough at home despite having no crowd support, but I think the ‘fins continue where they left off against the Patriots.  Plus, the Jags most likely will be without their best WR in Sims-Walker who is listed as doubtful.  Miami will get picked up one of these games, ending their playoff hopes, but it won’t be this week.

Take the Dolphins, (+3)

So that is the Jets (-3), the Eagles (+1), the Bengals (+6.5), the Cardinals (-3), and the Dolphins (+3).

And as always, BET AT YOUR OWN RISK!
