The Jets and Giants are one big happy family
On Tuesday, the NFL officials voted to host the 2014 Super Bowl at the brand new Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Earlier this month, representatives from both the Jets and Giants, including Mark Sanchez and Eli Manning, presented their case to the league. After the three potential hosts presented their piece again, and after four rounds of voting, the Jets and Giants eventually beat out the Bucs and Dolphins for the right to host the biggest spectacle in American sports. Two 2nd round draft picks?? PEANUTS!
ESPN is reporting that Brandon Marshall has agreed to a four year, $47.5 million dollar contract with the Miami Dolphins. This will make Marshall the highest paid wide receiver in NFL history.
The Dolphins who traded for the problematic wide out for two 2nd round draft picks in 2010 and 2011, will finally have the deep threat to combat their rival Jets who just scooped up Santonio Holmes yesterday.

How much more can Jet fans take? I mean, honestly….how many other ways are there to lose an NFL game?
The Jets, winners of three straight, dropped a heartbreaking game to the Atlanta Falcons, after their top ranked defense couldn’t stop the Dirty Birds on 4th and goal from the Jets 6 yard line. Gang Green did a great job containing Matt Ryan, Roddy White, and in particular Tony Gonzalez the entire game, but failed to execute once again in the games waning minutes.
As a life-long Jets fan, can it get any worse?

TJ and the Jets must win on Sunday to keep playoff dreams alive
The New York Jets have won two in a row, and have seen their playoff chances increase with Pittsburgh’s loss to Cleveland Thursday night. Nevertheless, Gang Green will have to rely on a backup quarterback this week in Kellen Clemens. No matter who is behind center, the game plan should not change, and the Jets just need to keep winning one game at a time.
The Jets are currently tied with Miami, and one game back of the Patriots in the AFC East. Yes, the Dolphins hold the tie-breaker over New York, but their schedule is brutal down the stretch and at least one loss is likely. New England could be headed for disarray as they have lost two in a row, haven’t won a road-game all season, and now Tom Brady has a finger and rib injury.

Louis Murphy celebrates after his game-winning touchdown against the Steelers.
The Jets were able to rest up on Sunday after they beat the Buffalo Bills 19-13 Thursday night in Toronto. They were also able to pick up a couple of much needed victories in week 13. Gang Green is still not in good shape, as they hold a 2-4 division record and five conference losses, so a lot of scenarios will still have to unfold for the Jets to make the playoffs. Nonetheless, some things worked in the Jets favor on Sunday and some did not.
